Excluding Impairments

In some instances, you may want to see how one particular impairment affects the overall report. In the case of Almaraz-Guzman analogies, you might want to try several approaches to rating the same condition and ultimately select the one that gives the highest value.

When you mark an impairment as "excluded", the ImpairMaster calculation engine will keep the text and value of the impairment in the report, but the value will be excluded from all calculations.

Excluding an Impairment

To exclude an impairment, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the impairment within the report preview.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots to show the context menu for that impairment.
  3. Select "Exclude impairment".

After an impairment has been ignored, it will show up in a lighter gray color in the report preview.

Restoring an Excluded Impairment

To restore an impairment that was previously excluded, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the impairment within the report preview.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots to show the context menu for that impairment.
  3. Select "Include impairment".
